Citizens Bank's Neighbors in Need program celebrates fourth year
Partnership with Cumulus Broadcasting and Hasbro Inc. will provide $20,000 to local nonprofits and help local families in 2011
PROVIDENCE, R.I.Citizens Bank, Cumulus Broadcasting radio stations 92 PRO-FM, Lite Rock 105 and News Talk 630 WPRO and 99.7 FM, and Hasbro Inc. will embark on their fourth year of Neighbors in Need, a program designed to help nonprofits and individuals who are struggling this holiday season.
“Citizens Bank and our colleagues know that many families are in need this holiday season,” said Ned Handy, president, Citizens Bank, Rhode Island & Connecticut. “With this in mind, we are focusing on the less fortunate and once again partnering with Cumulus Broadcasting and Hasbro Inc. on the Neighbors in Need program, which allows us to give back to those who need it most.”
Through the Neighbors in Need program, listeners on 92 PRO-FM, Lite Rock 105 and News Talk 630 WPRO and 99.7 FM can nominate members of their community who are in need of assistance. Nominations can be made on the stations’ websites. On weekdays, December 5 through December 9, Citizens is awarding $500 per day on 92 PRO-FM, Lite Rock 105 and News Talk 630 WPRO and 99.7 FM to a family that needs help this holiday season. Also, a $250 donation will be made in that person’s name to the Rhode Island Community Food Bank and Crossroads Rhode Island to help other neighbors in need. Hasbro will donate toys to the children in each winning family.
