Citizens Financial Group, Inc. honors more than 100 colleagues for 25 years of service in 2011 Brick Dedication
Bank’s annual Colleague Appreciation Week opens with unveiling of bricks to be permanently installed at One Citizens Plaza
Providence, R.I. (June 6, 2011) - Citizens Financial Group, Inc. unveiled 119 commemorative bricks at its headquarters today, each inscribed with the name of a bank colleague who has provided 25 years of service.
Each colleague’s brick will be permanently installed outside One Citizens Plaza, joining those of the more than 1,200 Citizens Financial Group colleagues who have been honored since the bank started the tradition in 1999.
Every spring, the bank’s Brick Dedication kicks off its Colleague Appreciation Week recognizing colleagues’ hard work on behalf of the bank’s customers and the local communities it serves. Congressman James Langevin, D-R.I., joined Citizens Financial Group executives in congratulating the honored colleagues and their families at today’s ceremony.
“These bricks are a fitting way to demonstrate to anyone who visits One Citizens Plaza that we are a bank of highly experienced and committed colleagues who are absolutely dedicated to the long-term success and prosperity of our customers and our communities,” said Ellen Alemany, Chairman and CEO of Citizens Financial Group and RBS Americas. “Our colleagues’ expertise, their professionalism and their high level of commitment to customer service truly are among our strongest assets. As we celebrate these milestones and other colleague successes this week, we thank all of our colleagues for the significant contributions they make every day.”

Under this year’s theme – “A Good Bank Celebrates Its Colleagues – You Make Us Proud” – Colleague Appreciation Week will see two weeks of activities and events across the bank’s footprint. Colleagues in the Mid-Atlantic and Midwest will celebrate during the week of June 6 and colleagues in New England will celebrate during the week of June 13.
