In addition to his responsibilities as State President in New Hampshire and Vermont, Carelli will retain his Commercial Banking management responsibilities within New England. He joined Citizens Bank in 1992 holding management positions in Credit Administration and Commercial Banking until becoming Commercial Banking Director in 2004.

In recognizing Schmidt’s significant contribution to the organization, Alemany said “Cathy is a talented banker who has contributed to the success of the Citizens franchise in northern New England. We thank her for her service and wish her the best in her future endeavors.”

Schmidt joined CFG in 2002 and served as Executive Vice President and Retail Banking Director in Massachusetts prior to being named State President in 2006.
