Citizens Bank supports our Neighbors in Need in Rhode Island
Company partners with Citadel Broadcasting and Hasbro, Inc. to help local nonprofits and individuals struggling this holiday season
Providence, R.I. (December 13, 2010) - Citizens Bank has announced that it has partnered with Citadel Broadcasting radio stations 92 PRO-FM, Lite Rock 105 and 630 WPRO and 99.7 FM and Hasbro, Inc. this holiday season on Neighbors in Need, a program designed to help nonprofits and individuals who are struggling this holiday season. The program is in its third year.
“Citizens Bank and our colleagues know that the economic downturn means more people than ever need help this holiday season, so it important to take a moment out of our busy lives and focus on those less fortunate,” said Ned Handy, President, Citizens Bank, Rhode Island. “Our partnership with Citadel Broadcasting and Hasbro for the Neighbors in Need program allows us to be involved with the community in the best way possible – and that is through giving back to those who need it most.”
Through the Neighbors in Need program, listeners on 92 PRO-FM, Lite Rock 105, and 630 WPRO AM can nominate members of their community who are in need of assistance. Nominations can be made on the stations’ web sites. On weekdays, December 6 through December 14, Citizens is awarding $500 per day on 92 PRO-FM, Lite Rock 105 and 630 WPRO to a family that needs help this holiday season. Also, a $250 donation will be made in that person’s name to the Rhode Island Community Food Bank and Crossroads Rhode Island to help other neighbors in need. Additionally, Hasbro will donate toys to the children in each winning family.
