Citizens Bank opens second branch in Stamford, Connecticut
Bank opens third branch in Fairfield County in past 12 months
Stamford, Ct. (June 25, 2010) - Citizens Bank today announced the opening of its newest branch in Connecticut, located at 1 Atlantic Street in Stamford. The new full-service branch is Citizens’ 51st branch in the state.
In April, Citizens Bank opened a branch in Greenwich and in June 2009, the opened a branch in the lobby of the RBS Americas building on Washington Boulevard in Stamford.
“Citizens is excited to expand our network of branches in Fairfield County to provide additional convenience and service for our customers,” said Paul Ellner, director of Retail Operations for Citizens Bank in Connecticut, Massachusetts and Rhode Island. “We believe that good banking is good citizenship and look forward to continuing our tradition of active civic engagement in the greater Stamford community.”
As part of the branch-opening ceremony on Friday, Citizens Bank presented a check for $5,000 to the Ferguson Public Library in Stamford to support the organization’s mobile library which provides a range of programs and services to low-income and under-served neighborhoods across Stamford during the summer months.
Citizens also announced that Brandon Ojakian has been appointed Branch Manager in the new branch in Stamford. In this new role, Ojakian is responsible for overseeing branch staff, directing branch activities and delivering exceptional customer service. He has been in the banking industry for eleven years.
The new branch features a walk-up voice assisted ATM and a night deposit drop.
The hours at the new Stamford branch are 9: a.m. to 4 p.m. on Mondays through Wednesdays; 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Thursdays; 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Fridays; and 9 a.m. to noon on Saturdays.
