CLEVELAND (June 9, 2010) - Charter One today announced it will donate $20,000 to United Way of Greater Toledo to provide disaster relief assistance to families and individuals affected by the tornadoes in Lucas, Wood and Ottawa counties.
"As a company committed to supporting the communities where our customers and colleagues live and work, we are honored to play a small role in helping the individuals and families who were impacted by the tornadoes of this past weekend. Our thoughts are with them as they rebuild their lives and recover from their losses,” said Ken Marblestone, President of Charter One in Ohio.
The Charter One Foundation will provide a $20,000 grant to the United Way of Greater Toledo to assist with volunteer clean-up efforts and long-term relief to families over the next year.
