Citizens Financial Group, Inc. honors colleagues during 17th celebration of Colleague Appreciation Week
127 colleagues with 25 years of service honored with bricks that become a permanent part of One Citizens Plaza
Providence, R.I. (June 7, 2010) - Citizens Financial Group, Inc. kicked off its 17th annual Colleague Appreciation Week on Monday, June 7, 2010. Colleague Appreciation Week is held throughout Citizens each year to recognize the efforts of the company’s colleagues.
The celebration began with Citizens’ 12th annual Brick Dedication at Citizens’ headquarters, One Citizens Plaza in Providence. This year, 127 colleagues and retirees with 25 years of service with the company have had their names inscribed on bricks that will be installed in the plaza as a permanent part of the Citizens history. Rhode Island Governor Donald Carcieri and U.S. Congressman James Langevin joined Citizens’ executives at this event.
“Colleague Appreciation Week is a time to celebrate our colleagues’ dedication to our core values,” said Ellen Alemany, Chairman and CEO of Citizens Financial Group and RBS Americas. “This is a special time to recognize our colleagues for their commitment to our customers and the community and to thank them for their significant contribution and value to the Citizens family.”
Under this year’s theme – “Thank You for Making Good Citizenship Possible” – Colleague Appreciation Week is complemented by two weeks of activities and events across the CFG footprint. Colleagues in the Mid-Atlantic and Midwest will celebrate CAW June 7 to 11. Colleagues in New England will enjoy events such as games and themed days June 14 to 18.
