Citizens Announces Appointment of Business Banking, Consumer Strategy Leaders

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Citizens today announced the appointment of Mark Valentino as Head of Business Banking and Witt Nicholson as Head of Consumer Strategy.

Prior to his role there he was the Head of Healthcare and Not-for-Profit Banking at Citizens and, previously, the National Sales Manager for Corporate Banking.

Nicholson, who will be based in New York City, joins Citizens from Goldman Sachs, where he most recently led its Strategy and Insights team. He previously held senior roles in commercial strategy and payments at Silicon Valley Bank and Capital One.

“Mark and Witt join an experienced management team with a proven track record of customer experience and growth,” said Brendan Coughlin, Vice Chair and Head of Consumer Banking at Citizens. “Both are strong and innovative leaders who will help accelerate Citizens’ transformation and position the bank for long-term success.”
