Citizens Capital Markets Wins Multiple Awards for M&A Advisory Services
PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Citizens Commercial Banking announced today that Citizens Capital Markets won recognition in multiple categories for its M&A advisory services at the 18th Annual M&A Advisor Awards Gala held on Tuesday, Nov. 19, at the New York Athletic Club.
Citizens took top honors for the overall M&A Deal of the Year valued from $250 million to $500 million and won the Professional Services (B-to-B) Deal of the Year award in the $10 million to $100 million category.
Citizens won M&A Deal of the Year for serving as the exclusive financial advisor to Ethos Veterinary Health, LLC in its recapitalization by Brown Brothers Harriman Capital Partners. Through the recapitalization, Ethos remains independently owned by its veterinarian professionals and, under the leadership of founding CEO Ames Prentiss, is well capitalized to further accelerate its acquisition-focused growth strategy.
Prentiss said of the team: “We are so appreciative to the entire Citizens team for their commitment to advising Ethos through this important process. Citizens’ Bowstring Advisors division won the Professional Services (B-to-B) Deal of the Year ($10MM - $100MM) for its role as exclusive financial advisor in the acquisition of Avanxo, a leading cloud transformation company, by Globant, a digitally native technology services company.

Over the weekend, Citizens also won the 2019 International Deal of the Year award at the Oaklins International Conference in Madrid, Spain, for its role as the exclusive financial advisor to HB Chemical, one of North America’s largest independent distributors of specialty chemicals focused on the rubber market, in its acquisition by The Ravago Group.
