Citizens Bank’s LaMonica Named a Chief Human Resources Officer of the Year at Third Annual Stevie® Awards for Great Employers
PROVIDENCE, RI – Susan LaMonica, chief human resources officer of Citizens Bank, was honored with a Gold award in the Chief Human Resources Officer of the Year category at the third annual Stevie® Awards for Great Employers.
The Stevie® Awards for Great Employers are an international business awards competition open to all organizations worldwide. The awards recognize the world's best companies to work for, and the HR teams, professionals, achievements, new products, and suppliers that help to create and drive great places to work. The Stevie® Awards have been hailed as the world’s premier business awards.
The award was announced at a dinner event in New York on Friday, Sept. 21.
“My goal as chief human resources officer is to create an inclusive environment that leverages the capabilities and ideas of our colleagues in order to deliver a consistently outstanding customer experience,” said LaMonica. “This award reflects the great efforts of the strong team we have here at Citizens.”
More than 550 nominations from organizations in 21 nations were submitted this year for consideration in a wide range of HR-related categories. More than 50 professionals worldwide participated in the judging process to select this year’s Stevie Award winners. The judges scored human resource professionals based on creativity and the effectiveness of their company’s programs to create a great workplace environment.
