Citizens Challenge Hackathon Highlights Positive Impacts of Technology Collaboration
BOSTON - Citizens Bank today announced the winners of the first-ever Citizens Challenge Hackathon, which brought together 60 developers to generate data-driven solutions to overcome banks’ daily operational challenges. A $10,000 grand prize was awarded for best overall app, and additional prizes were awarded for best commercial app, and best consumer app.
The winning projects, selected by technology leaders from Citizens Bank, PwC and Infosys, are:
- Best Overall App: Project Crystal. Rohit Krishnan and Yolpanhchana Lim created a “robo-assistant” that uses Artificial Intelligence to provide customer service across multiple channels, enabling intuitive, 24/7 customer service.
- Best Consumer App: I Want That. Anshul Mittal Anshul & Pa Agarwal created a mobile application that integrates a customer’s account & data with various external APIs (i.e Google, Carguru) so that consumers can make better informed purchase decisions.
- Best Commercial App: Foresight. Diana Kolusheva & David Wang created a solution that leverages Artificial Intelligence to analyze customer transaction data and provide actionable insights on liquidity and working capital.
