Jack Murphy Joins Citizens Bank as Head of Business Banking Sales
Citizens Bank today announced the appointment of Jack Murphy as Head of Business Banking Sales. Murphy, a banking veteran with more than 25 years of experience, previously served as Managing Director of Business Banking for Santander. He will report to President of Business Banking, Chris H. Ward.
Murphy will be responsible for managing sales and service to small and medium business customers. He will oversee approximately 400 sales colleagues, including eight Business Banking regional directors.
“Jack has a long track record of helping companies optimize their financial performance through the use of credit and cash management products and services,” said Ward. “We welcome him to the team where he will fill a critical role as we work to become a top-performing regional bank.”
Prior to his role as Managing Director of Business Banking for Santander, Murphy held a number of executive positions at the bank in global banking, auto finance and small business and business banking. He also held leadership positions at TD Bank, JPMorgan Chase and American Express. Murphy holds a Bachelor of Science in history from St. Michael’s College, Vermont.
