Citizens Bank recognized as a “Best of the Best” by DiversityComm magazines
Bank honored for commitment to diversity and inclusion
Citizens Bank has been recognized as a “Best of the Best” in Finance and Banking by Professional Woman’s Magazine, Hispanic Network Magazine and Black EOE Journal. Citizens received the recognition for promoting the advancement of multiculturally diverse people in all aspects of business and employment to ensure equal opportunity.
Each year, DiversityComm, Inc. and its four diversity magazines, including Professional Women’s Magazine, Hispanic Network Magazine and Black EOE Journal conduct select evaluations of the nations’ employers, suppliers diversity programs and executives, MBA schools and government and law enforcement agencies. The evaluations integrate findings by each magazine independently to identify the “Best of the Best” in relation to outreach and accessibility to African American, Hispanic/Latino, female and veteran populations.
“The power behind the dynamics of diversity in the workplace should not be underestimated,” said Mona Lisa Faris, president and publisher of Professional Woman’s Magazine. “Diversity both reflects and reinforces corporate culture and, today, is a business imperative.”
Through recruitment and development strategies, Citizens Bank is committed to recruiting and maintaining a diverse workforce, as well as diversity among its suppliers. Overall, Citizens fosters a workforce where colleagues of all levels, cultures and backgrounds are encouraged to collaborate and experience personal and professional growth while remaining committed to the prosperity of customers, colleagues, shareholders and the community.
“We are honored to be named a “Best of the Best” by Professional Woman’s Magazine,” said Susan LaMonica, Chief Human Resources Officer for Citizens. “Citizens has a longstanding commitment to diversifying our workforce and are proud of our commitment to diversity and what we have accomplished so far.”
