Citizens Bank announces wealth management hires
PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Citizens Bank today announced two key hires to Citizens Private Bank & Trust, its wealth management division serving high net worth customers. William Logan and Howard Margolis both have joined the company as senior vice presidents and Senior Bankers.
“Our Private Bank and Trust team is dedicated to helping our clients preserve and grow their wealth by providing sound planning, investing, banking and borrowing advice,” said Tim Swanson, head of Citizens Private Bank & Trust. “Both Bill and Howard bring decades of top notch client service as well as sales and business development experience that will be instrumental to Citizens as we continue to grow our Wealth Management business. Logan brings more than 25 years of experience in the high net worth and family office marketplace. He began his career in investment sales, progressed to managing complex trust and investment relationships and was eventually responsible for a team of seasoned portfolio managers. He comes to Citizens from Fidelity, where he worked with clients to provide brokerage, custody, wealth management, investment, reporting and administrative solutions. Prior to that, Logan held leadership positions with Fidelity Family Office Services, Mellon Private Wealth and Eastern Bank & Trust. Logan will be based in Providence.
Margolis comes to Citizens with nearly 30 years of experience, most recently at CIG Capital Advisors where he oversaw their wealth management division and managed the company’s business development, client experience and marketing activities. This included the development of client communication programs to strengthen the firm brand, differentiate services and reinforce to clients the value of doing business with CIG Capital Advisors. He previously worked for The Private Bank & Trust Company, JPMorgan Chase and Citigroup Trust. He will be based in Detroit.
As Senior Bankers, both Logan and Margolis will work with high net worth individuals and institutional client relationships within their markets, acting as ambassadors for the Private Bank. They will lead new client acquisition and retention through a broad knowledge of investments, banking, trust services and financial planning. They will work alongside a team of specialists (Investment Manager, Capital Advisor, Wealth Strategist, and Trust Officer) in order to provide the in-depth expertise for our complex clients.
