Citizens Bank’s iPhone and Android apps again ranked among the best in the industry
Javelin Strategy & Research’s review of customer ratings shows Citizens Bank to be one of 2014’s “Mobile Banking Leaders”
PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Citizens Bank’s mobile banking apps for iPhone® and Android™ once again have won Mobile Banking Leader Awards from Javelin Strategy & Research. Javelin’s review of user ratings for mobile banking apps found Citizens’ mobile apps to be among the best in the industry, with average customer ratings of 4.2 out of 5 stars. Citizens received similar recognition from Javelin last year in the research firm’s 2013 mobile banking report.
In recognizing Citizens, Javelin cited the bank’s apps for “offering innovative features that drive customer satisfaction”. Javelin also highlighted the bank’s Fast Balance® feature that allows customers to quickly check balances without having to log in. In announcing the results of its 2014 review of the mobile offerings of 30 leading U.S. banks, Javelin named Citizens as being in the class of banks that are “topping all others in mobile banking.”

Citizens has invested significantly in delivering convenience for customers through recent enhancements to its Mobile Banking apps. In addition to the industry-leading Fast Balance feature, Mobile Deposit offers customers the ability to deposit checks quickly by using the mobile device’s video camera, eliminating the need to tap a button, making depositing checks quick and simple.
Money Magazine recently selected Citizens Bank as one of nation’s best banks in its 2014 list of "The Best Banks in America," recognizing the company for its level of customer convenience. Citizens won similar honors from Money Magazine in 2013 in the customer experience category.
Customers of Charter One, Citizens’ current brand in Ohio and Michigan, enjoy the same features and functionality in their Charter One Mobile Banking apps. Citizens has announced plans to transition the Charter One brand to Citizens Bank later this year.
