RBS Citizens strengthens Commercial Banking team in Michigan

Commercial arm of Charter One adds two experienced bankers – the most recent of eight commercial bankers hired in nine months – to support its continuing growth in Michigan

Southfield, MI – RBS Citizens, the Commercial Banking arm of Charter One, today announced the hiring of Larry Schuster and Tony Catalina – two experienced commercial bankers now providing solutions for the bank’s middle market customers throughout Michigan. Schuster and Catalina are the latest of eight Commercial Banking colleagues to be hired by RBS Citizens in Michigan over the past nine months.

“With our pipeline for new business in Michigan as strong as it has been in years, we are excited to have two well-regarded financial services professionals join our Commercial Banking team,” said Mike Dolson, Senior Vice President and Head of Commercial Banking for RBS Citizens in Michigan. “We look forward to having their support as we build on last year’s growth and continue to grow our commercial banking portfolio in 2014.”

Larry Schuster joins RBS Citizens as Senior Vice President and Relationship Manager from Citizens Bank in Troy, Michigan, where he led a team of eight bankers across three states with more than 150 clients. His career includes more than 25 years of varied work in financial services, including experience in middle market, capital markets, large corporate and international markets. He is a graduate of Iowa State University and received his MBA from the University of Michigan and lives in Bloomfield Hills, MI.

Tony Catalina joins RBS Citizens as Vice President and Relationship Manager with nearly 10 years of experience in commercial banking, working at both Fifth Third and PNC. He has worked with clients in Southeast MI spanning various industries including manufacturing, aerospace, contracting, and wholesalers. He is a graduate of Central Michigan University and resides in Macomb Township.
