Citizens Bank partners with Cumulus Broadcasting and Hasbro for sixth year of Neighbors in Need program

Give back this #GivingTuesday and nominate a member of your community in need

Providence, RI – Citizens Bank, Cumulus Broadcasting radio stations 92 PRO-FM, Lite Rock 105 and News Talk 630 WPRO and 99.7 FM, and Hasbro will embark on their sixth year of Neighbors in Need, a program designed to help nonprofit organizations and individuals who are struggling this holiday season.

As a way to give back on this #GivingTuesday and to start off this holiday season, listeners to 92 PRO-FM, Lite Rock 105 and News Talk 630 WPRO and 99.7 FM can nominate members of their community who are in need of assistance. Nominations can be made on the stations’ websites through December 6. #GivingTuesday™ is a campaign to create a national day of giving at the start of the annual holiday season. It celebrates and encourages charitable activities that support nonprofit organizations.

“Citizens Bank understands that many people are in need this time of year,” said Kathy O’Donnell, Head of Public Affairs, RBS Citizens Financial Group. “Through this meaningful partnership with Cumulus Broadcasting and Hasbro, we are able to make the holiday bright for some of our neighbors who are struggling.”

On weekdays, December 9 through December 13, Citizens Bank will award $500 per day on 92 PRO-FM, Lite Rock 105 and News Talk 630 WPRO and 99.7 FM to a family in need this holiday season. A donation will also be made in that family’s name to the Rhode Island Community Food Bank and Crossroads Rhode Island to help other neighbors in need. Hasbro will donate toys to the children in each winning family.

“Hasbro is proud to work once again with our good friends at Citizens Bank and Cumulus Broadcasting to help brighten the holidays for families in need,” said Karen Davis, vice president of community relations at Hasbro, Inc. “Giving back and supporting the communities where we live and work has been an important part of our company’s history for more than 90 years.”

“The staff of 92 PRO-FM, Lite Rock 105 and News Talk 630 WPRO and 99.7 FM look forward to reaching out to people who are struggling this holiday season and offer fabulous gifts, support and holiday spirit provided by Citizens Bank and Hasbro,” said Barbara Haynes, Market Manager of Cumulus Broadcasting Providence.
